Festive Friday is back for the 11th year on Friday the 1st of December. It is a special day for everyone in the greeting card industry (and all lovers of cards) to send their personal Christmas cards, creating a flurry of cards arriving early December to fill everyone with Christmas cheer.

UK Greetings FESTIVE FRIDAY PLANS

Once again UK Greetings will be using Festive Friday as an opportunity to remind everyone that Christmas is the perfect time for giving.

We will be giving colleagues the chance to send their Christmas cards free of charge on the day, and anyone who hasn’t had chance to write their cards can visit out writing corner to write their cards whilst enjoying a mince pie and chocolates. Colleagues will be encouraged to wear Christmas jumpers to show support and raise funds for Save The Children Christmas Jumper Day. We will also be collecting donations of food and pet supplies for Dewsbury Community Outreach and the RSCPA Leeds Bradford.

Festive Friday is the perfect opportunity to get in the festive spirit and there are plenty of ways to get involved, whether it’s buying your Christmas cards, starting to write them or posting them out to friends and family – send a card, deliver a smile this Christmas.

THE HISTORY OF FESTIVE FRIDAY

Festive Friday was an initiative set up by The Greeting Card Association back in 2012 to start the annual exchange of Christmas cards! This year the GCA are taking their efforts to the next level by launching their #Cardmitment campaign, which aims to reminds everyone about the joy of sending and receiving cards, and continuing to enjoy them as part of the seasonal decorations in their homes! To find our more about these initiatives simply visit The GCA website.
